Conference Theme: Mass Fatality Planning as a Disaster Response Necessity

A mass fatality (MF) incident, by definition, is any situation where more deaths occur than can be handled by the local official state authorities: (Medical examiners, coroners or a combination of both. Any MF incident will involve not only locals but also foreign nationals: foreign workers, tourists, immigrants or visiting relatives of affected families. The role of forensic experts, laws enforcement, social and health workers can not be overemphasized. An MF should therefore integrate forensic professionals, law enforcement, health authority, social services, etc. who can serve to identify the deceased (with use of forensic procedures), securing the remains and reuniting them with family/friends.

With the advances in technology and discoveries the MF support team should be versed with modern techniques and quick response tools prior to the incident, during and post incident clearance.

The 8th ASFM conference is aiming at correlating the subject with reference to forensic sciences, research and forensic technology in MF response. The conference invites members from the forensic science, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, recombinant DNA technology, Pharmacology and pathology, sociology, International committee for Red Cross and country Red Cross departments. Participants will seize a best opportunity to reach the largest assemblage of eminent scholars and expert scientists. Accordingly, we would be grateful if you would share with us your views as a Keynote speaker, Oral or poster presentations, Workshops and Symposiums.
